How Conduit for Christ collects, uses, and protects information during the Central Maryland pilot.

Central Maryland pilot notice: These pages describe current working expectations for the pilot. They should be reviewed by appropriate ministry leadership and legal counsel before broader public reliance.

What we collect

Account information such as name, email address, optional phone number, and sign-in details.
Volunteer profile information such as city, ZIP code, skills, availability, service interests, and travel radius.
Need request information including public summaries, private descriptions, contact information, approximate location, and exact address when supplied.
When a request is submitted for someone else, private recipient information such as name, relationship, awareness, consent, and contact limitations.
Organization application and membership information submitted by representatives and participants.
Contact messages, concern reports, moderation notes, workflow history, notifications, and follow-up information needed to coordinate service safely.

What stays private

Requester email addresses, phone numbers, exact home addresses, and sensitive private descriptions are not shown on public opportunity listings.
Third-party recipient details and consent information are private review information and are not shown on public opportunity listings.
Private request details are shared only with authorized moderators, approved coordinators where appropriate, and approved matched volunteers who need the information for an approved assignment.
Moderation notes, concern reports, contact messages, and private clarification threads are internal coordination records and should not be treated as public communication.

How information is used

To review needs, verify basic details, coordinate volunteers, approve matches, send notifications, follow up, and improve the pilot process.
To protect requesters, volunteers, churches, ministries, and partner organizations from unsafe or inappropriate situations.
To produce aggregate ministry reporting without exploiting or unnecessarily identifying people who received help.
To contact participants about their own requests, volunteer interests, assignments, organization applications, reports, or questions.

Limits and pilot note

This is an early pilot. Privacy procedures will continue to mature before broader public launch and should receive ministry/legal review.
Do not place highly sensitive information in public summary fields. Use private detail fields for context that coordinators need to review.
No online system can guarantee absolute security, so the platform intentionally limits what is shown publicly and uses coordinator review before private details are shared.
