Community Guidelines

How participants should interact while serving neighbors and coordinating through the platform.

Central Maryland pilot notice: These pages describe current working expectations for the pilot. They should be reviewed by appropriate ministry leadership and legal counsel before broader public reliance.

Serve with dignity

  • Treat people requesting help as neighbors, not projects.
  • Do not publish stories, names, photos, addresses, or identifying details without clear permission.
  • Let service be compassionate and voluntary. Help must not be conditioned on church attendance, donations, or a profession of faith.
  • Avoid language or behavior that shames, pressures, exploits, or makes a requester feel like a public example.

Honor churches and partner communities

  • Conduit for Christ is meant to strengthen local churches, ministries, and community partners, not replace them.
  • Work through coordinators when private details, safety questions, or organization responsibilities are involved.
  • Avoid using the platform to debate secondary denominational issues.
  • Participation is open across Christian denominations, while conduct must remain consistent with the biblical mission and safety expectations of the platform.

Communicate clearly

  • Respond promptly when you express interest in helping or accept an assignment.
  • Notify coordinators early if you cannot serve, feel unsafe, or discover the request is different than expected.
  • Use respectful language and assume coordination conversations may be reviewed by moderators when safety or accountability requires it.
  • Use the Report a Concern path for safety, privacy, conduct, or service-quality issues that need moderator attention.
