Coordinator Responsibilities

Working expectations for approved organization coordinators during the Central Maryland pilot.

Central Maryland pilot notice: These pages describe current working expectations for the pilot. They should be reviewed by appropriate ministry leadership and legal counsel before broader public reliance.

Coordinate with care

  • Help your organization review local activity, membership requests, volunteer interest, assignments, and follow-up within the approved scope of your organization.
  • Keep organization profile details, service area, and participation goals accurate so volunteers and requesters understand how the organization participates.
  • Support volunteers with clear expectations, realistic commitments, and timely communication.

Protect private information

  • Treat requester names, addresses, phone numbers, private descriptions, third-party consent details, volunteer messages, and assignment instructions as confidential service information.
  • Do not copy, export, forward, screenshot, or share private details outside the approved service context.
  • Share only the information needed for a specific approved assignment, and only with people who are approved to participate.

Stay within role boundaries

  • Organization coordinators can manage approved organization memberships and view organization-scoped operational lists.
  • Only assigned volunteers and platform moderators can update assignment status.
  • Sensitive requests, safety concerns, disputed situations, complaints, and questions about eligibility should be escalated to platform moderators.

Serve without pressure

  • Do not use service opportunities to pressure people into church attendance, donations, public testimony, or religious participation.
  • Preserve the dignity of people receiving help. Do not publish names, stories, images, or identifying details without clear permission and platform approval where appropriate.
  • When in doubt, slow down, protect people first, and ask a platform moderator for guidance.
